The Falcon GT Owners Club of Queensland Inc was formed on the 26th March 1981 by a small group of Falcon GT owners to socialise with and support each other in preserving and promoting the Falcon GT as Australia’s premier muscle car. This small group of 10 founding members has grown over the years to our current membership in excess of 450 members spread mainly throughout Queensland but also encompassing the length and breadth of Australia.
The club welcomes all models of Falcon GT from 1967 to 1976 and 1993 to the present as well as associate members who own other V8 powered Ford manufactured vehicles. Associate member numbers are limited by our constitution to 35% of the total membership number.
Club meetings are held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Our December meeting is usually one week earlier.
A club run is normally held on the Sunday following the meeting, however, the run date can change occasionally to suit a particular event, however, this is rare. Our Club runs the annual All Ford Day, has Club BBQs, meets up with 5 other GT Clubs in Nambucca Heads NSW for a weekend, does track events at Lakeside Park and goes on general cruises to pubs and parks around the Great South East.
As Queensland is such a large State we also have satellite groups in Townsville, Mackay, Bundaberg and Toowoomba who do their own club runs with their local members and publish details in our monthly newsletter.
Club merchandise is available to financial members from our Merchandise Officers. This includes (but is not limited to) shirts, caps, hats, jackets, umbrellas, stickers and flags. A club grill badge and club sticker is also supplied to all new members.
If you are a GT owner wishing to join the club or a potential associate member, then you can either come along to one of our monthly meetings or download our membership form and send it to our Membership Officer via email or send your snail mail to:
